Finding a New Career with Laser Hair Reduction Training

Laser hair reduction training has been a booming market for the last decade. Because it only takes two weeks to earn laser certification for laser hair reduction and other laser treatments, more and more people are seeking a career change into this particular field.

It’s possible to make a career change into the world of cosmetic lasers and medical aesthetics without any prior background. A common misconception is that you must be an aesthetician or have go have gone through aesthetician school before attending laser hair reduction training, but that’s not true in most states. In fact, many states only require a high school diploma or GED in order to enroll in a laser training course.

National Laser Institute has many graduates that have made the career change into the world of cosmetic lasers. So where are they now?

“I worked as a cocktail waitress at Treasure Island in Las Vegas, Nevada for fifteen years, but I wanted to go find my passion in the beauty industry.” Jodi, an National Laser Institute graduate, says. “After my two week [laser training course] I went out there, handed out resumes, and within 7 days landed a job.”

If you want a change, there is no excuse. Think you’re too old to enter a brand new career, especially working with state-of-the-art technology like lasers? Think again.

“At lot of people wonder if they’re too old to make a career change, and I can tell you right now you’re not older than me!” Sassy, another National Laser Institute graduate and career changer, says. “If you have a passion for making people feel good, then this is for you. I don’t care how old you are!”

National Laser Institute is the leading cosmetic laser training school in the nation and trains hundreds of attendees each month. They have been around for over a decade and are recognized as a gold standard of education. Attendees learn from leading experts and experience hands-on training within a retail medical spa setting.

“The instructors are amazing. They’re at the top of their field,” Jenny, a graduate and career changer who attended National Laser Institute. “I currently work at a med spa and I love, love, love my job. I do laser hair removal, photofacials, and tattoo removal.”

The only scary part of making a career change is the initial decision to do it. Once you attend National Laser Institute’s laser hair reduction training course, you’ll find yourself immersed in a positive, fun, and comfortable environment. Even if you have never picked up a cosmetic laser before–and a large majority of those who attend National Laser Institute have not–we make sure you understand and are confident with the ins and outs of lasers before you begin treating clients.

“You do the treatment and NLI makes it so easy. You don’t have to feel like you’re going to mess up,” Mindy, another NLI graduate explains. “The teachers are right there and everyone is so positive. You feel so comfortable. I still work at the salon I worked at before attending NLI–not as a receptionist, but as a laser tech! It’s changed my life.”
