The buzz word in aesthetic laser training is “laser”. But we have various light-based technologies included in our aesthetic laser training such as Intense Pulse Light, Broad Band Light, and Radio Frequency. One of the treatments our aspiring laser technicians learn about in their aesthetic laser training is how to perform the BBL Acne Photofacial. This treatment is a form of Intense Pulse Light (IPL) that uses Broad Band Light (BBL) with the Sciton Jewel machine. For those wrestling with acne, the BBL Acne Photofacial creates life-changing positive results.
Aesthetic Laser Training Changes Lives
The BBL Acne Photofacial treatment starts with a test spot to ensure the client’s skin will be receptive to the treatment. When the skin turns slightly pink, this is a good sign the treatment will be effective.
When treating acne, we want to kill the bacteria. Then, we treat the acne and pull the red pigment out of the skin. Consequently, the first phase of the BBL Acne Photofacial involves passing a red light over the client’s skin. The second phase leads to passing a blue light over the same areas of the client’s skin.
The BBL Acne Photofacial is gentle and your clients will be able to relax as their acne is treated. Depending on how much acne the client has, the BBL Acne Photofacial can be done every couple of weeks.
