Dear National Laser Institute, I am writing to thank you for the amazing experience I gained at National Laser Institute! It has been a YEAR since completing my studies, and while at National Laser Institute, I not only gained a wealth of knowledge in my chosen laser career but also gained lifelong friends! With the knowledge gained at National Laser Institute I was able to secure a laser specialist position at a top notch upscale med spa. There I excelled and went on to now manage an upcoming med spa and from all of the knowledge in lasers, marketing and more I am proud to say we are surpassing our greatest expectations! The first week we learned anatomy, skin types, laser technology, safety hazards and how all this coincide with each other. The remaining of the days we went straight into clinical and was supervised while taking patients. We did hair removal, tattoo removal, fractional, skin rejuvenation and body contouring amongst other services while using a variety of top of the line lasers that is currently used on the market today. The school was very educational, hands on and is everything you expect to get out of the school. I went back to Hawaii to follow my new path in laser aesthetics and I was offered a position at a laser center in Honolulu 3 1/2 weeks later. Now I’m currently working as a full time laser aesthetics technician taking patients in all different services. I love the work I’m doing because it’s not only dealing with modern technology but it is instant gratification for our patients. I would highly recommend anyone that loves the beauty industry or just needs a career change in their life to attend this school, it’s definitely worth the investment. The team in Dallas, Texas was amazing from instructors to the founder Louis Silberman. If there were any concerns, requests or just more time needed to understand a procedure they were there to find a solution. I got a job interview with him for that Friday, not even one week after graduating! The day after I got home, I started calling local med spas and salons so that I could check out all of my options. I kept calling, and finally one woman gave me a job interview that SAME DAY. She hired me on the spot. On my way home I stopped at one of the places that said no to me by phone that I was really interested in, and I gave them my resume in person. I ended up walking to the back office for another interview, they showed me the machine they use, I spoke to the owner, and next thing I knew I had another job!!! Persistence paid off! -Stephanie Fox Dear National Laser Institute, I graduated National Laser Institute in November of 2006. Let me say that my training there opened many doors for me, most importantly, my own. But first, after my graduation, I put in about 6 months at American Laser Clinic. I was hired the minute I walked in the door. Their own technicians had the maximum 3 days training, so my knowledge and understanding of the industry was superior to even my manager. However, I wanted to get inside the day to day business of laser hair removal and skin rejuvenation and so I worked there to absorb as much as I could. Early this year, I started the process of buying a used IPL and new Silk Peel. I added these to my esthetics equipment and opened for business in May. I lease a small suite in a building with many hairdressers, manicurists, and other estheticians they have been so supportive; sending me lots of business to get me off to a great start. As we all know the business of laser hair removal and advanced skin treatments are highly competitive. I get calls all day long from price shoppers. But that is ok. I cannot and do not want to compete for the lowest price. My specialty is a full understanding of the physics of light based skin and hair removal treatments and their reactions with the human body. I provide a luxurious and clean environment, and I am there for my clients at the time of the service and after. By the way I have received only 1 call from a client with a concern in 8 months time. So this is where I stand, I have a little baby laser & advanced skin spa. And like a baby it will have to be nurtured and will need all my attention and creativity to keep it growing. I had an amazing learning experience at National Laser Institute and a fabulous time. The education was AAA+ and really exceeded all my expectations, it’s very apparent why National Laser Institute is the nation’s more reputable school for laser training. I graduated from National Laser Institute on March 25th and I am proud to say on my first interview I was hired and will now be working for a beautiful spa doing laser as of April 20th! Markert Just wanted to give you an update and let you know that I was hired by BioDerm Skin Care & Laser Center here in Dallas, Texas at the end of September, 2007. At the moment they have two locations, one in Garland, TX, and the other in Arlington, TX. I have been with them for a mere two weeks, in training, and they told me that I will be the first person that they have ever hired that will have completed their training in record time. Training at BioDerm usually takes one month, as they are very cautious and thorough when training a new employee. My training will be completed in two weeks! They cannot believe that I have never work in another Med Spa before, and have gone so far as to tell me that they thought that I was a spy from another Med Spa because I was so knowledgeable with the lasers, and had such a good technique. They are actually wanting to groom me to run the next location that they are planning on opening in Highland Village, about 5 minutes from my house, which is perfect for me!!! I just wanted to say THANK YOU again for all that the National Laser Institute taught me. The school is exemplary, and I have recommended it to several of my friends and co-workers even to a couple of patients interested in getting into the field. I was pleased to find that the Institute offered more hours than what was required by the state of Arizona and the curriculum was very in-depth, with lots of hands on training and observation hours. And because financing was available I was able to attend right away. Training was wonderful and the instructor was unbelievably knowledgeable and confident. Classes progressed at a pace that was stimulating but not overwhelming and the support of the instructor and the entire staff at Physicians Skin Institute was top of the line.
