Crissy

Director of Admissions

• Hobbies: Shopping, good restaurants, travel, spending any moment I can with my wonderful son.

Pets: None, I’m done raising things.

Hometown: California–grown and raised.

Favorite Treatment: Photofacial and eMatrix.

Both are amazing!I don’t even know how I got here! For 20 years I was a stay at home mom, then it seems overnight I was an esthetician and laser technician and found myself working at National Laser Institute. I absolutely love this industry and our school. I love meeting students that travel from all over the world to get to us. Hearing the stories of each individual and what brought them to us and the decisions they made in their personal lives that led them to this career.

I am working on my Bachelor’s degree at NAU, where I will be majoring in Communication. Working for NLI has tremendously improved my life. I love working here, love the people I work with, love what we stand for, and love the positive environment.

I grew up in Chicago, but I call Phoenix my home now. I’ve lived in this state for the past 12 years and I love it! I went to ASU for my undergrad and began working for NLI in 2009. I’ve taken some sabbaticals, as I like to call them, but I always find myself coming back to this company! :) The company is great and I honestly consider the people I work with my family!

Kathy

• Hobbies: Reading, cooking, shoe shopping, walking, concerts, plays, movies, outdoor festivals and most importantly—family time!

• Hometown: Detroit, Michigan

Kathy

I was born and raised in Detroit and moved to Los Angeles, where I raised my two beautiful children. I was a stay-at-home mom while they were growing up, Room Mom, Team Mom, PTA, and Resident Chauffeur. I then followed my dream and opened and ran a sweet little coffee house in our small town. It was lovely. I’m now beginning another beautiful chapter of my life and have found a welcoming, comfortable home in this special place called the National Laser Institute!

Jane

• Hobbies: Reading, shopping, dining out and the movies. Also, dancing to old funk, blues. In AZ I can hike! Never had before in my life, since I hate mud and bugs and sweating. Plus in AZ, there are no bugs, no mud and you don’t sweat! So now I hike, beautiful big skies out here.

• Pets: I raised my kids, raised my cats, grown and gone. It’s a wonderful thing.

• Hometown: Born and raised in Boston, MA. There are no ‘r’s’ in my language, and we do ‘pa’k the ca’ in ha’va’d ya’d. We talk very fast! Redheaded Irish and proud of it.

• Favorite Treatment: eMatrix radiofrequency skin tightening along with BOTOX ® and dermal fillers.

Jane

I graduated nursing school many moons ago. I also taught aerobics, did personal coaching and many other things. I get bored easily, but never at National Laser Institute! There’s always something happening here. I love my job and adore working with my students and hearing about their successes! I always tell them, “To get something you’ve never had, you’ve got to do something you’ve never done.”

Marty

• Pets: Fred (my huge tortoise)

• Hometown: Leicester, England

• Favorite Treatment: Laser Tattoo Removal – It corrected a couple of bad decisions I made whilst in the Marine Corp!

Marty

I moved to Arizona 15 years ago and think it is the best place to live. One of my kids is still at home, and the other two are traveling around the world. As a family, we spend a lot of time outdoors and in the summer, we head north a lot to get away from the heat! I recently completed the PF Chang Marathon and enjoyed it so much that I have started training for next year’s event. My job at National Laser Institute is the best. We get to help people from all walks of life change their careers and their lives. Talking to our students after they graduate makes me realize what a difference we make. Cheers, Marty.

Andrea

The most important part of my life is my family and friends. They are the most valuable blessing and treasure to me! Early in my career, I worked in radio as a promotion director for the #1 station in Cleveland. It was a wonderful opportunity to meet a lot of people and gave me the chance to be involved in an array of community events. I then went on to obtain my real estate license selling new construction and developed a love and passion for interior design, making a career out of it for years. My passion for medical aesthetics began when I started receiving services to reverse sun damage that developed over years from too much sun exposure as well as my desire to reverse the signs of aging. The results are amazing! I am blessed to have an amazing daughter who inspires me every day with her inner beauty, and a step-daughter that has given us two beautiful grand babies to love and cherish!

• Hometown: Born and raised in Syracuse, NY.

• Favorite Treatment: Photofacial – I love how it fixes all the little imperfections in my skin

Jen

I am originally from upstate NY and moved to the Phoenix area about 4 ½ years ago. When I’m not working – my life away from life – I love to be at home with my family, hang out with friends, or go see a great live concert. My favorite is the Goo Goo Dolls – I have been to 41 of their shows and don’t plan on stopping. I love living in Arizona. Even though the summers are hot, its so much better than 10 feet of snow on the ground during the Central NY winters!! Plus, if I hadn’t come out this way I would have never discovered National Laser Institute and the magical world of medical aesthetics. I’ve worked in many different industries, and I have never felt more at home than I do at NLI. It is truly a wonderful thing to wake up every day to head off to do something you love, and help others to do the same.

• Pets: No pets, but we have 3 step brothers and one step sister–does that count? (Yes! 6 kids in one house!)

• Hometown: Scottsdale, Arizona

• Favorite Treatment: Laser Tattoo Removal. See me zapping my bro’s tattoo! My dad started us young!

faculty_junior2

Although we do look kind of young to be working at National Laser Institute, daddy says by the time we are old enough to officially zap clients we will be laser light years ahead of the rest! So just like daddy revolutionized laser training, me and my bro are going to revolutionize the way clients get treated. Here is our game plan: Since there are a whole bunch of girl customers at the medispa, wouldn’t these cute female clients much rather have some young male studs be zapping them with lasers versus all these silly National Laser Institute females? I mean come on daddy, we are smarter then we look!

faculty_junior

In fact, every time they come by we are going to win them over by giving them a free baseball card and a sample taste of our favorite birthday cake Cold Stone ice cream with brownies, fudge, gummy bears and sprinkles, which we will keep in a freezer in the room. Our client retention will be huge! We’re not sure what retention means but daddy said it means they will keep wanting to pay us money so we can buy more baseball cards! Step aside ladies, the Silberman boys are in town. By the way, our good looks come from Mommy! (Sorry Daddy!)
