Louis J. Silberman, CEO and Co-Founder of National Laser Institute, is an entrepreneur known for starting Health4her.com, a women’s health and beauty retailer. Louis launched Health4her.com out of his garage in 1998, and it quickly became one of the only profitable online retail health companies and the sixth most visited pharmacy site in the world with 500,000 visitors per month, beating out both CVS and Walgreens. Louis is also the author of Make it Happen…Online sold at amazon.com and “Make It Happen”, a motivational DVD helping individuals turn their passions into a business.
Louis has created and successfully marketed a variety of skin care and nutritional products over the years. He is a nationally recognized medical aesthetics expert, and a contributing editor for some of the country’s largest skin publications, including Skin Inc., Dermascope and Les Nouvelle. He is both an industry and motivational speaker at large venues nationwide.
Louis is also Co-Founder of Illuma Studios, a full service television and music recording studio where countless health and beauty ventures have been created. Louis has been written up in many publications including Entrepreneur Magazine, Business 99, The Business Journal, Internet Retailer, Woman’s World, E-merging Business, The Arizona Republic, Skin Inc., and Fortune Small Business.
Matthew Gould, Co-Founder of National Laser Institute, is an attorney who has had a distinguished career in both law and business. Gould has utilized his entrepreneurial and marketing skills to build several successful companies in natural health and beauty industry. In 2004 the partners created National Laser Institute, a nationally recognized medical aesthetics trade school and medical aesthetics spa and Illuma Studios, a full service advertising agency and production studio for both music and film. Gould and Silberman were recently featured as two entrepreneurs to watch by Arizona Business Magazine.
David Silberman, MPH
David Silberman, Vice President and Co-Founder of National Laser Institute, has a reputable career in both health care related business ventures and the non-profit public health sector, developing a strong connection and commitment between National Laser Institute and its broader health and education community. He played an integral role in co-founding National Laser Institute, has served as a consultant to medical spa owners around the United States, and is an expert on the regulatory issues of aesthetic laser technologies. Prior to joining his brother, Louis Silberman, and Matt Gould in business in 2000, David held executive level positions at non-profit organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area. David has a BA in Politics from University of California, Santa Cruz, and a Masters Degree in Public Health from University of California, Los Angeles. He also serves as President of the Board of Directors for the I Have a Dream Foundation-San Francisco, which he helped start-up in 2000 and has served on the Board ever since.
