Medical Laser Training

training medical lasersYou’ve lived in your mom’s basement with your three cats for long enough. It’s time to get out into the sunshine and into a new career. Why not leap straight from the room of your parents’ house most likely to grow black mold and right into medical laser training?

We are only saying this to you because we love you. We promise.

Take the steps to inspire change

Undeniably, you are ready for a change and there will never be a better time than now to take the plunge into a new career.

Sure, change can be scary. But so is the prospect of stagnancy and never discovering your true potential.

Now that we have your attention, please read on. Truth be told, medical laser training could be the very thing that puts you on the sunny path to success, personal satisfaction, and a sense of pride.

For starters, what is medical laser training?

Fantastic question! See? You’re already on the first step to the main part of the house! Before you know it, you and your feline trio will be on your own!

Simply put, medical laser training is specialized training focused on cosmetic lasers, how to use them safely, what they are used for, proper technique, and application.

At National Laser Institute, in our Online Comprehensive Laser Course, medical laser training enrollees receive extensive education. Through a combination of hands-on training and classroom lecture and interaction, you will learn more than you could ever imagine.

What you will learn:

Under the tutelage of world-class instructors you will learn techniques such as the ever popular laser hair removal, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) photofacial, microneedling, laser spider vein reduction, laser acne treatments, wrinkle reduction and skin tightening via laser, cellulite reduction, CoolSculpting body contouring, and even laser tattoo removal.

Additionally, by the end of the course you will understand how lasers interact with skin tissue. You will also have full knowledge of the safety issues, contraindications, and potential complications associated with cosmetic laser treatments. As laser technician you will easily determine which types of laser treatments will yield your clients’ desired results.

Oh, not to mention the fact that you’ll also be able to safely operate sophisticated lasers (pretty legit if you ask us…).

You’re not a fan of school? No problem! You can be finished in as little as two weeks!

Because some of us remember what it’s like to not be crazy about classwork, lectures, and exams, National Laser Institute has made medical laser training especially easy. In fact, to keep the monotony at bay and your interest front and center, our new program has two phases.

In Phase One, enrollees will participate in live and interactive classed in NLI’s online classroom. The didactic portion of the medical laser training consists of an overview of how lasers work, pre- and post- treatment care and the latest and greatest in cosmetic laser techniques.

In Phase Two, you will complete Laser Safety Officer training (if only there were a cool badge…). You will also participate in hands-on training in a med spa environment at one of NLI’s nationwide locations.

Comprehensive Online Laser Course: Options Galore

Luckily for you, we offer two new class options for your convenience! Choose from the Online or Online Only. You can choose which option works best for you (and your mom! And your cats!):

  • Online – Interactive Didactic and demonstrations and LIVE. Online, with hands-on clinicals at one of our nationwide locations!
  • Online only – LIVE. Includes online and Interactive Didactic and demonstrations for the professional who prefers to maximize learning time without leaving the convenience of their own home or office.

From the comfort of your own basement, in the company of your cats and favorite coffee mug, you can start this exciting training!

Is there an age requirement?

As long as you are 18 or older with a high school diploma (or equivalent) you are welcome to take our comprehensive cosmetic laser course. Enrollees in the program come from all walks of life. Some students have never been employed whereas others have worked for several years and are ready for a career change. You certainly don’t need to have prior medical experience or background to be a cosmetic laser technician.

Intrigued? You should be! This is exciting stuff!

As a trained cosmetic laser technician (let’s be honest, that’s also a pretty legit title) you will be an integral member of the medical aesthetics industry. Now is a great time to join the field as it gains popularity and earns money hand over fist. In fact, the nearly $17 billion-dollar industry is thriving as Baby Boomers and Millennials alike rush to get cosmetic treatments done.

As mentioned before, with the influx in business, and mounting popularity, there is a real industry need for cosmetic laser technicians. Businesses including fitness centers, doctors’ offices, laser clinics, medical spas, and more need cosmetic laser technicians to expertly administer the treatments they offer.

Are the hours flexible?

One of the great things about training in an industry that needs you is the array of career benefits. Cosmetic laser technicians have a great amount of flexibility in their jobs and hours worked. Even better, most positions within the field don’t require employees to work major holidays!

Are there other benefits?

Absolutely! Similar to other professions in medical aesthetics, jobs requiring medical laser training often offer health, vision, dental, and life insurance. Incentives such as bonuses are also sometimes offered to sweeten the deal.

Likewise, cosmetic laser technicians are often allowed personal laser treatments for either free or at a reduced cost. Some employers even extend the offer to families and close friends of employees. Of course, each employer is different as are their offerings. It can be said with a fair amount of certainty, however, that your beloved cats won’t likely be allowed to be on the list of recipients.

At many jobs, laser technicians also enjoy paid time off and accrue additional days for illness or emergency.

We saved the best for last. Let’s talk dollars!

According to the Economic Research Institute, cosmetic laser technicians make a national average of $64,455. Future laser technicians can breathe easily. The ERI explains that there is a good amount of security in jobs in cosmetic laser treatments and medical aesthetics for the future. In fact, the cosmetic market will continue to grow exponentially in the upcoming years.

In other words:

Once done with medical laser training, you will be able to operate cosmetic lasers. You will also make great money in a great, stress-free work environment. Your new job will only continue to grow as the lucrative business expands over the next several years.

Let’s be honest, that’s not too bad for someone still borrowing their mom’s robe…
