According to CTV News, recent Botox acquirer, Actavis, plans on adopting the Allergan name. Actavis Pharmaceutical acquired the Botox manufacturer, Allergan, last fall in a $66 billion dollar deal valued at $219 per share.

Botox cosmetic is the #1 nonsurgical cosmetic treatment in the United States. Actavis stated that they plan to use the newly acquired “Allergan” name globally–although they will still use “Actavis” for certain products and territories.

Botox is predicted to grow exponentially within the next several years. With 5 million clients in the United States alone last year, it’s one of the most successful noninvasive cosmetic treatments in the nation.

Botox is cosmetically used to eliminate fine lines and wrinkles, rejuvenating the skin and creating an overall youthful appearance. There is no downtime for clients, and results tend to last between 3 – 5 months.

Medical professionals, such as doctors, nurses, physician’s assistants, etc., are eligible to receive certification in order to offer this treatment to clients. National Laser Institute’s Botox injection training course can be completed in as little as a weekend and provides CME or CE credits upon course completion. You will also experience hands-on Botox training with multiple clients.
