3 Unconventional Ways Botox Training Can Boost Revenue in Your Practice

Everyone wants it, and most already know how safe and effective it is. Botox is the most popular non-surgical cosmetic procedure available in the aesthetic marketplace today.  Botox temporarily sets the muscle in its neutral state for up to 3 months.

The reason Botox functions so effectively is because when the facial muscles form expressions, micro-traumas or wrinkles, are created.  When wrinkles develop, the body wants to heal them, but over time, there are too many expressions made too often for the body to be able to continually heal them.  By neutralising facial muscles with Botox, we can prevent new wrinkles from developing.

Traditionally, in the realm of medical aesthetics, Botox is injected into the muscles responsible for crow’s feet, frown lines, bunny lines, and forehead creases. But there are unconventional ways Botox training can boost revenue in your practice that you may not be aware of.  In today’s blog we will reveal the three unconventional Botox modalities that treat more than just facial wrinkles.

Lip Service: 3 Unconventional Ways Botox Training Can Boost Revenue in Your Practice

1) Botox Lip Pop Training

Botox in the lip area is an unconventional trending modality known as the Botox Lip Pop.  The Botox Lip Pop is designed to give your patients the coveted fuller looking lip they desire.  When we relax the muscle above the lip with Botox, it will slightly turn the upper lip out causing it to appear fuller.

For most patients, the Botox Lip Pop treatment requires only one to two units of Botox per side of the upper lip area.  This treatment is an excellent add-on for your regular Botox clients who are also dreaming of a fuller lip.  The Botox Lip Pop is the ideal solution for the patient who wants the appearance of more lip volume but doesn’t want to commit to dermal fillers.

2) Botox Training for Gummy Smile Correction

It used to be patients who didn’t like their gummy smile had to have surgical superior positioning of the maxilla to correct it.  But by injecting a low dose of Botox into precise points on the upper lip we can reduce the gummy show without affecting any other motion.

Specifically, when we inject Botox into the Levator Labii muscle, which is near the junction of the nostrils with the cheek, the upper lip will be lower to cover the gums. A small amount of Botox can also be placed in the midline of the upper lip where it meets the nose and it helps bring down the center lip.

3) Botox Training for Lip Lift

Clients who grind their teeth while they sleep may have a more active muscle pulling down the corners of their mouth.  A very small amount of Botox can be injected in the Depressor Anguli Oris muscle or DAO muscle.  In other words, Botox should be injected at the marionette lines starting from just below the corners of the mouth.  This treatment will lift and soften the lower face to make a remarkably noticeable improvement in downturned mouth corners.

Your patients can expect to see results in 1 to 2 weeks but with any of these Botox treatments. However, in the mouth area many patients see results more expediently.  These treatments are also excellent add-on treatments for your regular Botox clients who are looking for fuller lips, to calm their gummy smile, or to lift the corners of their mouth.
