Medical Esthetic Training

medical esthetic trainingWe’re willing to bet that you’ve heard of laser hair removal treatments, Botox, or even soft tissue fillers. Maybe you’ve even heard of laser tattoo removal. But what do these things have in common? They all fall under the category of medical esthetics. If you have a passion for anti-aging and skincare and aspire to perform these treatments for your own clients, you may meet the requirements to enroll in medical esthetics training.

Is a medical esthetician like an esthetician?

Unlike estheticians, medical estheticians are trained to treat within the epidermal and dermal layers of skin. This means they are able to go deeper and work with cosmetic laser technology, which can include laser hair removal, laser tattoo removal, laser acne reduction, laser wrinkle reduction, photofacial skin rejuvenation, and much more.

If you are a medical professional (DO, MD, RN, etc.) you may meet the requirements to earn your cosmetic injectable training, which includes services like Botox, dermal fillers (Juvederm, Restylane, etc.) and sclerotherapy.
