Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal, also known as Permanent Hair Reduction, is the most popular cosmetic laser treatment offered in the United States. In 2006, nearly 1.5 million procedures were performed. The treatment uses light to penetrate the hair follicle and permanently reducing the number of new hairs growing back, eliminating the need for waxing or shaving in the future.
The Permanent Hair Reduction training course includes the 40 hours of classroom education and 24 hours of clinical observations and treatments. The training covers laser biophysics, tissue interaction, device terminology, safety precautions, and laser safety officer certification. The course will train the student in hair removal using both laser and IPL equipment.
Intense Pulse Light Photo Facial
Photofacial is a relatively new and increasingly popular technique that is one of the most lucrative cosmetic procedures delivered by medical spas and physicians. The photofacial treatment has the ability to reverse the aging process and correct skin damage in a non-invasive manner.
At National Laser Institute, we train on the very latest, most comfortable, and most effective technology available which has been written up in numerous trade publications. This technology treats a wide range of conditions including: age spots, sun damage, freckles, hyper-pigmentation, rosacea, uneven skin tone, and broken capillaries.

This course is a new essential for the cosmetic laser technician.
Laser Tattoo Removal
In March 2002, Esquire Magazine reported that one in every eight Americans is tattooed and that 17% of those Americans will eventually want their tattoo removed. Indeed, this is a business that is on the verge of exploding, and National Laser Institute is pleased to offer the fastest, most comfortable, and most efficient technology in its laser tattoo removal training.
The newest technology targets the ink directly, rather than breaking the top layer of skin as older technology did. Clients strongly prefer this newer method because it is far less painful and avoids wounds, scarring, and downtime. In this course you will learn how to adjust the wavelength of light to treat a variety of colors of tattoos. Spider veins, telangiectasias, hemangiomas, mature, and blebbed portwine stains and other vascular malformations, rosacea, scars, and warts are common problems we all encounter. Light based technologies offer a comfortable, effective, and safe method to treat these conditions. In this course, you will learn how to treat all types of vascular and pigmented lesions more effectively than conventional, single-wavelength technology.
Radiofrequency Skin Tightening
National Laser Institute is exceptionally proud to be the first in the United States in our educational field to offer Radiofrequency Skin Tightening to smooth and tone the skin. This procedure sends heat into the dermal layer of skin while the epidermis remains protected, resulting in a plumping of the skin to improve elasticity, wrinkles, and fine lines without downtime.
Fractional Laser Wrinkle Reduction
Wrinkles are part of the natural aging process. Fractional Laser Wrinkle Reduction provides soft tissue coagulation and non-ablative skin resurfacing with high efficacy and no downtime, something that more and more clients are demanding. This is another new “essential” in the cosmetic laser technician’s education and National Laser Institute is pleased to be the first in the United States in our educational field to offer our students this groundbreaking training. The marketplace first came about with the invention of the “Fraxel laser” and the newest technologies have been deemed “Fractional.”

Rough or dry patches can be resurfaced, uneven pigmentation spots can be reduced and the look of fine lines and wrinkles can be improved as cell turnover is increased and damaged skin cells are shed. Various concentrations and combinations of peel solutions also prove to be effective for the improvement of mild acne by stripping away plugs of keratin, oil, and dirt that often lead to outbreaks.
The latest advancement with Chemical Peels is the Laser Enhancement Peel: a strict solution that is unique to each client and designed to prepare the skin for a laser skin treatment, increasing the beneficial outcome of the laser treatment and extending a client’s rejuvenation results!
