You probably already knew that Botox works wonders for smoothing and preventing fine lines and wrinkles, but did you also know it could change your life?
According to television personality Kelly Ripa, who recently appeared on Watch What Happens Live with host Andy Cohen, Botox did just that for her. Ripa joked that she used to spend a lot more time in the makeup chair, ostensibly to cover up the early signs of aging. But Botox can be used effectively and minimally to temporarily brighten the entire eye area—providing a non-surgical brow lift—as well as prevent deep crow’s feet. Experienced injectors can also use Botox to firm the jaw line and provide a little lift to the upper lip.
As with most beauty-related techniques, the key to using Botox well is remembering that “Less is more.” Today’s medical aesthetic client wants subtle improvements to their skin, not radical (and noticeable) changes. Working with an experienced injector is equally important. “All of our injectors are licensed medical practitioners who are the best at what they do,” says Louis Silberman, Owner/CEO of National Laser Institute.
“They’re not only highly trained in their fields of expertise but also have an artistic eye. There’s definitely an ‘art’ to injecting the face.”
