Voluma Injection Training for Nonsurgical Facelift

Voluma Injection Training for Nonsurgical FaceliftFull cheeks are a sign of youth. As we age, we lose that volume, and our cheeks begin to flatten, causing the skin in the cheek to fall slightly.

The reason why so many clients worry about the cheek area is because apple-like cheeks give you a youthful appearance.

If your clients are looking to restore lost volume in their cheeks, Voluma is a perfect treatment option.

What is Voluma?

Approved by the FDA in 2013, Voluma is a type of filler from the makers of Juvederm and Botox. It is the first filler to claim that it can temporarily correct age-related volume loss in the cheeks for adults over 21 years old.

Voluma contains hyaluronic acid, which helps to restore age-related volume loss in the checks and cheekbones. This cosmetic injectable works to temporarily restore the effects of aging by providing a tighter, younger appearance where the Voluma injections are administered.

While most dermal fillers are injected into areas like the nasolabial folds, Voluma goes deeper and is administered to the top of the cheek bones which allows physicians to reverse signs of gaining by lifting the face.

Unlike other fillers, Voluma is designed to build upward for lift and volume as opposed to plumping the injection site. The injections will leave your clients looking rested and youthful without making the look like they had cheek implants.

The benefits of Voluma injections for your patients are outstanding: Voluma is non-invasive, the results are instant, smooth and natural-looking, and it can take years off their appearance.

Voluma Injection Technique: How Does It Work?

A topical numbing agent is first applied to the skin for approximately 15 minutes before a Voluma treatment. Then your cosmetic injector makes a few marks on your face that will provide guidance of symmetry and areas of the face where blood vessels are located before you receive Voluma injections.

Most patients will need 1 to 2 syringes for the desired results.
