Double Chin? Learn How To Melt It Away With Kybella Training

Kybella TrainingDid you know 80% of people with double chins are unhappy with this part of their body?

Until two years ago, liposuction or surgery was the only option if you wanted to get rid of submental fat – the fat pocket underneath the chin.

But this changed in 2015 with Kybella.

If you are a nurse, physician or medical professional, you can learn Kybella and other cosmetic treatments in just two weeks with medical aesthetics courses from National Laser Institute!

What is Kybella?

Kybella is the first and only cosmetic injectable approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that contours and improves the appearance of submental fullness (double chin) caused by genetics, weight gain or aging.

A Kybella injection is a synthetic version of the naturally occurring molecule deoxycholic acid that is produced in the intestines and helps break down and absorb dietary fats in the body.

When Kybella is injected in the upper neck, the membranes of the targeted fat cells are destroyed. This causes the cells to no longer store fat. The destruction of these cells is then followed by the body’s natural elimination and healing process. The fat cells are typically removed from the treated area within four to six weeks after receiving a Kybella treatment.

How Long Does Kybella Take?

A Kybella appointment only takes about 15 to 20 minutes. The number of treatments needed varies based on the amount of fat and desired chin profile of each client. Your cosmetic injector will determine how many Kybella treatments you will need. Additional appointments are usually scheduled about a month apart for the best results.

During Kybella training, you will learn:

  • How to evaluate and identify Kybella clients
  • Pre- and post-treatment care
  • How to apply the treatment markings and grid
  • How to prepare syringes and select the correct Kybella dosage amount
  • How to perform Kybella injections
