Medical Aesthetic School Education
Medical esthetic certification is designed for those who want a career in the health and beauty industry, working with advanced cosmetic laser technology or cosmetic injectables in order to improve and correct client’s skin care concerns. In today’s society, people are seeking out the latest and greatest beauty treatments, which include cosmetic laser and injectable treatments. In fact, Botox, dermal fillers, and laser hair reduction ranked as the top three nonsurgical cosmetic treatments last year, bringing in over 5 million combined services.
Medical esthetic school at National Laser Institute is unparalleled education. Here, you are learning from those who pioneered the laser training curriculum and have been with the industry since it first began booming into the phenomenon that it has become. At NLI, you gain your education directly from expert instructors who break down your course into classroom and clinical training, where you’ll get to receive hands-on training with scheduled clients in a medical spa setting in order to become more familiar with the cosmetic laser technology.
Do I have to be an esthetician to enroll?
This is one of the most common questions we receive from students interested in medical esthetic school education. In Arizona, and most other states, the answer is no. You must have your high school diploma or GED in order to enroll in medical esthetic school, but you do not need prior esthetician experience.
With that being said, we do train many estheticians who are seeking medical esthetician training. Esthetician school typically takes a few months to complete and gain your certification, but medical esthetic school typically only takes a few weeks. If you’re trying to decide which education you should complete first, we recommend medical esthetic school only because it is shorter and you can take what you’ve learned here and apply it to your esthetician training to become ahead of the game.
