MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL FAQ’S

The most recently published data states consumers will be spending $30 billion annually on medical aesthetics procedures by the year 2030. Additionally, it’s anticipated the U.S. will have 15,000 operational med spas and a significantly greater number of physicians’ offices providing services.

Medical professionals typically work at physicians’ offices, medical spas, fitness centers, hair salons, day spas and other health and beauty establishments. A large number of medical professionals choose to open their own practices.

Like most professions, there is a wide range of earning potential. The two highest compensated nurses/NPs/PAs in the marketplace are CRNAs (anesthesia) and cosmetic injectors. However, what’s very exciting is that cosmetic injectors who open their own practice working full-time and building a nice reputation over time can earn a substantial six-figure income.

We hold courses nationwide in over fifteen major U.S. cities – click here to chat with one of our admissions advisors to find a location closest to you.

Of all medical aesthetics training businesses in the U.S., we are the only one that spends millions of dollars annually recruiting paying patients for students to practice on during training. We have one of the smallest attendee-to-instructor ratios (4-5 to 1) in the country, which allows for more hands-on than our competitors who often have ratios of 8-20 attendees per group and often require attendees to bring their own models and/or work on mannequins or cadavers (we prefer to work on real, paying patients for the best training experience).

We have relationships with a variety of employers across the country and when they have openings, we send out job leads to our graduates.

Our sister company Louology.com is the ultimate resource for those looking to start a business or grow their practice working for someone else. They even hold monthly complimentary Zoom sessions to answer all your questions.

We work with a variety of lenders who offer payment plans.

One may apply for scholarship assistance if they can show financial hardship or if they incur significant travel expenses.

Absolutely! We have a variety of continuing education courses that typically take place on weekends and are also available for virtual online learning.

You absolutely can receive a solid foundation of how to safely and effectively inject neurotoxins and dermal fillers in our Botox & Dermal Fillers 2-Day Weekend Course. However, as in every industry, to become a rock star at your trade, it requires ongoing education and practice, which is why the vast majority of our attendees attend four 4-Day Complete to nine 9-Day Ultimate injection courses and those desiring a comprehensive offering of all injection services and cosmetic lasers in our 14-Day Premier Cosmetic Injections & Aesthetics Lasers Course. We’ve been told by thousands of our attendees that one of their favorite things about entering the cosmetic medicine business is that they do not have to take a two-year program to get started.

A large number of medical professionals work in hectic, stressful environments (hospitals, etc.) and find it’s difficult to give quality care to deserving patients. Yet in the medical aesthetics field, the high stress of traditional medicine is replaced with a relaxing, enjoyable, exciting new opportunity to improve their patients’ confidence and self-esteem, helping them feel better from the inside out.

Most of these schools are only capable of providing you with 1-3 days of limited training and accredited hours of completion. National Injection Institute offers an accredited 7-day continuing medical education course on BOTOX®, Dermal Fillers, and laser modalities for nurses and physicians. Our courses allow students more time to practice and observe numerous aesthetic treatments and techniques in a clinical setting. Classes are top-notch, lead by a team of dermatologists and plastic surgeons. Clinical training takes place in our 10,000 sq. ft. retail medical spa located directly on the National Injection Institute campus. Students gain one-on-one, personalized experience in a luxury setting with real clients.

We are also the only school to provide students with a comprehensive business development and marketing seminar lead by nationally recognized authorities on the health and beauty industry. Our students leave our courses with not only an unsurpassed amount of training and education, but also crucial marketing tools and How To’s for optimized success in the industry.

Absolutely! We offer complimentary refresher training in the didactic/classroom educational segment. If desired, additional training in the clinical sessions (treating live patients), we offer 25% off.

No. This is a common misconception. Many medical professionals incorrectly assume they must attend many months of specialized advanced training in order to perform cosmetic injections such as BOTOX® and Dermal Fillers. In today’s medical aesthetic marketplace, a licensed nurse can perform these treatments after proper training.

Laser and injectables go hand and hand. To be the most marketable in this industry, you should offer both modalities in order to best treat and accommodate every client that walks in your door according to their individual skin issues and skin types. However, it is strictly a personal decision based on whether your passion lies in offering injectable treatments, laser treatments, or both. Laser can be something you choose to do on your own, or you may wish to delegate to other employees at your facility.

This field of medical practice offers part time and full time positions. The hours are more flexible than regular nursing schedules in acute, bedside and clinical care nursing, and the work environment is far less demanding. Medical professionals, nurses, and physicians are beginning to take control of their careers by exploring options other than the traditional roles of yester-year nursing. Nurse entrepreneurs and contractors are enjoying the many benefits of the cosmetic industry by making their own hours, working less, and earning more income.

As a nurse, you are typically required to secure the supervision of a medical director in order to perform injectable treatments. If the facility where you plan to offer these services already has a physician on staff, such as an OB/GYN medical center or private practice, your needs for on-site medical supervision are already met. For non-medical locations, such as a hair salons, spas, or resorts, you will be responsible for finding and providing your own supervising physician. The exact requirements of a supervising physician vary from state to state. Some states require a physician to be in the building, while other states only require periodic visits by the directing physician.

Yes. In addition to the marketing seminar included with your course, we offer complimentary business consulting services for all of our students from our sister company Louology.com

To register for our continuing medical education courses, you must be a licensed physician, physicians assistant, nurse practitioner, registered nurse, LVN/LPN in Texas or dentist. Documentation of your current licensure is required with course registration.

Nurses receive 7.5 CE’s per day through the AZ Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation (ANCC).

Our CE/CME course activities have been reviewed and are acceptable for up to 66 prescribed credits by the American Academy of Family Physicians.

No. Once you have received certification and credit hours through National Injection Institute, you are able to practice this type of medical aesthetics in your given location.

Yes. Each graduate of National Injection Institute will receive a certificate of completion that designates the CE/CME hours earned and document recognition of course completion.

National Injection Institute is located within the heart of Scottsdale, Arizona. Our students have access to a vibrant and lively downtown complete with renowned restaurants and bars, excellent shopping, fine art galleries, a high-energy nightlife and vast array of affordable hotel accommodations.
